A partial kit gives the flexibility to the diy'er to choose certain key components allowing them the ability to hone the look and sound of the microphone to their liking and budget and to experience the pure joy of creating a beautiful studio grade condenser microphone!
The main issue when building a vintage microphone kit from scratch (just pcb boards) is the sourcing of high quality THT components at a reasonable cost. We have taken the headache out of the equation by doing the sourcing for you and providing THT components that are professionally measured and tested on the bench.

u-87i circuit compatible transformer - We have Cinemag CM-13113 pinout compatible boards available and traditional bobbin drop in boards.
Reputable sources of these components will be given at time of purchase and also included in the instruction manual which comes with the partial kit. It is highly recommended you purchase these components ASAP.
You will also be invited to join the Facebook Group to discuss any parameters of the build with other ME-87i kit diy'ers. Keep in mind you must buy the kit to join this group as a lot of build support will be amongst fellow buyers of the kit.

Care Instructions
Never use chemicals to wipe down the microphone shell. A simple lightly damp cloth will do.
Always store microphone in provided box or zippered case (this can vary from lot to lot.
It is a good idea to use a pop filter to provide hygienic longevity to the capsule inside the basket.
Never open the microphone and touch the electronic components. This is only something a certified Mellow Audio technician must do!
